After much thought and careful consideration, we are excited to announce a virtual Fall 2020 semester of Piano Evenings with David Dubal. Our virtual semester will run for 12 consecutive weeks, from Oct 13 through Dec 29, 2020.
For this digital venture, we’re honored to be partnering with Klavierhaus (www.klavierhaus.com). The classes will be recorded from their Midtown shop and will feature selections from their distinguished collection of pianos.
While many of you were hopeful for live classes this fall, with COVID-19 continuing to limit our ability to safely gather, this will be the best way to continue our mission while looking out for everyone’s safety. With four microphones and multiple cameras, our professional high definition streaming platform is the next best thing to being there —almost like having a seat less than 6 feet away—except that you’ll be able to do it from the safety of your home.
Subscribers and single ticket holders will be emailed a link to a new class which will be broadcast every Tuesday at 5:30 PM; however, it will remain available for 72 hours after, so ticket holders who aren’t able to join during the broadcast time can still enjoy the classes. Since many of us are missing a personal connection during this time, each class will be followed by a live Zoom “postlude” which will feature special guests and where you can all ask questions and mingle.
